Senior Class Graduation Party

FOR PARENTS OF SENIORS:
Although we want our senior sons to avoid the temptation of “senior slide,” we also realize that time really is winding down for the “Class of 2010” now that we are officially into graduation year. That means planning for Senior Party kicks into high gear in the coming months.
Senior Party is a safe, all-night lock-in at Saint Thomas Academy following graduation at the St. Paul Cathedral on June 3, 2010. Grads need to be there by 10:30 p.m. and will stay until 5:00 a.m. The party includes a variety of activities and entertainment designed to make graduation night fun and memorable for your senior son.
Below are documents with important details about this memorable event for our sons. Several of these items require you to take action by February 26, 2010.

* Registration Form: The admission fee is $75, which covers the baseline of party expenses. Please make your check out to “STA Senior Party.” Please note that if any parent finds the cost prohibitive, please call Mr. Byrne at 651-683-1521. Funds are available on a confidential basis. We want all of the seniors to attend this party!

Senior Video: Parents are asked to begin collecting video clips and photos for a senior class video given to each graduate. See below for details.

Senior Candid Photo Session: On February 2, each senior will have a photo taken for a poster used for decoration the night of the event. Your son will hear more about this at school and is responsible for bringing a prop or two that best reflects his activities and interests. In the past, seniors have brought athletic equipment, musical instruments, or items that represent their hobbies. While props are not required f or the photo, if props are used, each senior is asked to choose items that are creative but appropriate and in good taste. The photographer, Brent Knoke, and members of the Senior Party Committee will determine whether or not a prop may be considered inappropriate. Please encourage your son to think about what props he will bring for the photo shoot.
