Mr. Bjork's College Application Preparation Class

Each June after school is out, Mr. Bjork will offer a class to students moving from their junior to senior year, to help prepare for the college application process. 

Course Description:

This nine-hour course will cover the following topics:
Naviance Family Connection;
College Search;
Reach, Target and Safety Schools;
Deadlines and Due Dates;
College Visits;
Interviews;
Testing;
Recommendations;
Essays and Essay Writing;
Co-Curricular Activities, Work and Community Service;
Common Application—process and procedures;
Scholarships and Financial Aid.   

The course will be comprised of lectures, group discussion and small group work. Assignments will be given. No academic credit is awarded and there is no fee. Students will be expected to be on time and will complete all nine hours.
