Saint Thomas Academy Names New Facility Vincent J. Flynn Hall After Author and Esteemed Alumnus
Dedication and blessing of building to be held during Homecoming Reunion Weekend
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn., Aug. 29, 2013 – Saint Thomas Academy has chosen to name its recently completed facility the Vincent J. Flynn Hall after esteemed alumnus, author, parent and former trustee, Vince Flynn ’84, who passed away in June. Flynn also co-chaired the capital campaign to construct the new building and was a benefactor of the school.
“Vince’s enthusiasm for Saint Thomas Academy was contagious,” said Headmaster Dr. Thomas Mich. “The memory of this fine man is now a part of the Saint Thomas Academy campus, Flynn Hall.”
The nearly 100,000-square-foot Flynn Hall was designed and built by Opus Design-Build LLC and includes a fine arts center, classrooms, athletic facilities and meeting areas. The building will be officially dedicated during Alumni Reunion Weekend, on Friday, Oct. 4 at 2:20 p.m.
