The Salvation Army and the Minnesota Vikings allowed Kids To The Rescue (KTTR) to place the Salvation Army RED Disaster Relief Kettles at each of the eight gates of the Metro Dome from 10:00 a.m. to noon. It was a great opportunity to reach 50,000+ fans to aid the kids in Haiti. The following STA Middle School students had a great time raising money!

About Kids To The Rescue, Ms. R. Floeder, now a sophomore at Visitation, and friend Audrey started this non-profit in 6th grade after Hurricane Katrina. It is a simple concept that continues; challenging each of the 54+million, K-12 students across the Untied States to earn and donated just $1.00 once a year. Annually, in February, the Send Love Campaign is launched on the web site, www.kidstotherescue.org. The girls, their family, friends and kids across the country have raised about $50,000 to date to help kids less fortunate. The Salvation Army has partnered to help distribute the funds directly to those kids, especially in times of great disaster, like the earthquake in Haiti.
