A Father's Prayer

Blessed are You, Lord God,
who has given to each of us
a personal destiny and purpose in life.

We rejoice that we are, each of us,
special to You; that our names are
written in the palm of Your hand.
We are thankful that You have a holy
design for each of us.
 
We are grateful for that long line of
Fathers, who by their faithfulness have
inspired others at Saint Thomas Academy.

Blessed are You, Lord God, for helping
us discover our talents, our purpose,
and our joy in our sons as they grow
from simplicity through complexity to
young adulthood.

Blessed are You, Lord Jesus, who calls
on us from our cocoon of comfort and
contentment, to continue that unique
path set forth for us and our sons.

May we Fathers share that path in faith
and love with each other and with our
sons at Saint Thomas Academy, now and
forever.
