Dean of Academics, Dr. Celeste Heidelberger

Welcome! This is my eighth year at Saint Thomas Academy and my 35th year in secondary education.

I completed my undergraduate and Master's work at the University of Minnesota. In 2002, I obtained my doctorate at St. Mary's University. Both my Master's and Doctorate degrees are in Educational Leadership. I continue to maintain my Minnesota teaching license.

My job at the Academy includes working with teachers and counselors in many areas, including curriculum and staff development. I oversee parent-teacher conferences, standardized tests (EXPLORE, PLAN and AP), and the registration process. The department chairs and I make up the Academic Life Committee (ALC) and we meet most weeks to discuss academic issues.

I also work with students and parents on academic issues such as grades, course selection and registration, and other concerns involving classes, grades, or instructors.

I sit on the Administrative Team, co-chaired the ISACS Self-Study and work with the Education Affairs Committee of the Board.
