FIRST TIME USERS: 1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com 2. Click on "Create a User Profile" near the "Log-in" box. 3. Select User Type "Student" from pull-down menu. 4. Enter class ID number and password provided by your teacher. 5. Enter your e-mail address. 6. Enter and confirm your password (case sensitive, 6-12 characters with at least one number and one letter). 7. Enter your name, state, and country. 8. Return to the home page and follow the directions below. ALREADY REGISTERED USERS: 1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com 2. Enter your e-mail address and password and click on "Log-in." 3. To submit something to a class for the first time, click on "Enroll in a Class". 4. Enter the class ID number and password provided by your teacher. 5. If you have already registered for a class and are ready to submit your paper, click on the class title. 6. Find the assignment title and click on "Submit": * Choose from the pull-down bar to upload a file or cut-and-paste; * Enter your first and last name and the paper title; ignore the ID #; * Either upload or paste in the paper; * Click on "Submit." 7. You will receive an e-mail confirmation shortly. Submit this to your teacher if asked.
IF YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN YOUR PASSWORD: 1. Enter your e-mail address and any password (doesn't matter what you type) and click on "Log-in". 2. On the next screen, click on the link that says "forgot your password". 3. Re-enter your e-mail address and click on "Submit". 4. You will be told to check your e-mail account for a message from "Turnitin.com". 5. When you do this, you will be given a link to enter a new password. 6. That screen will then link you back to the original Log-in screen. 7. Proceed from "Registered User" directions above. |
