STA Film Preservation Society

The visual and oral history of Saint Thomas (Military) Academy is just as important
as the written history. For that very reason, John Culbertson '88 created the Film Preservation
Society to help save our visual and oral history. During the next few years we want
to transfer all of our existing 8mm, 16mm, and videotape to electronic files.

The plan is to then have a kiosk at school where people can view our visual history.
The school has a number of tapes, including some from the 1930s and 40s,
but we need your assistance.

If you have any films or tapes that we could save to DVD for our files,
we would appreciate it if you would let us borrow the material. We are
looking for recordings of "official" school events such as:
* Promotions
* Military Reviews
* Athletic Events
* Other Co-Curricular Activities
* Dances
* Auctions
* Alumni Interviews
* News Stories
