March 15, 2010 Auction E-News
Attention Auction Passengers!
This is Captain Scott back with some more pre-travel instructions as our Journey Around the World draws closer.
Exclusive! Exclusive! Exclusive! I need your attention now! Our All Aboard Auction takes off NOW! Remember – all these items can only be bid on through the online auction. Start your online bidding HERE.
Why not be the very first to bid on an item? In fact, here is a little challenge: I will list the first bids posted on all items (unless you need to hide and don’t want me to) in my next e-mail. Remember this online auction ends its journey on Sunday, March 28th at 9:00 p.m. I don’t want to leave you on the runway!
Raffles are really going fast. We are far ahead of last year’s pace and you don’t want to be left out. I’m sure an extra car or cash couldn’t hurt right? Just think what you could do if you had free tuition next year. Let’s sell this raffle out by my next e-mail! Click here for more details.
Looking to have some fun April 16th? I know you don’t have plans unless you already have Family Night on your calendar. This event is open to all. Admission is free and we have great food, games, entertainment and auction items. Bring family and friends to this fun event!
By now you have your Gala Invite. Everyone was invited so no excuses! Don’t sit back and wait for others to board first. Be a leader, an innovator, not a follower – enough lecturing! Reserve your boarding passes and seat assignments now. The evening will be filled with a delicious catered dinner, cocktails, music, auction items, and most of all great company! I personally promise some surprises as well. Yes, Captain Scott will be there – for those of you annoyed with Captain Scott, ignore me and come anyway!
Once again it has been a pleasure visiting with all of you and I will be back very soon with more pre-boarding instructions. The signs are off and, as always, you are now free to move about the Community Auction Web site!

February 22, 2010 Auction E-News
STA Community Auction – Around the World in 125 Years
Attention Auction Passengers!
This is Captain Scott once again with some more pre-boarding instructions for our up-coming journey “Around the World.”
Don't forget to bring your "Wine Frenzy" donation to Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 25, between 4:00 and 7:30 p.m.!
Invitations have been mailed for the Gala dinner on Saturday, April 17th! Be the first to book your journey and claim your favorite aisle or window seat! Or, feel free to buy the whole row for that matter!
Have you checked out our Auction Web site yet? Why not? You know who you are! All of the important and fun information for this year’s Community Auction is available online right now!
Once you finally go to check out the Auction Web site (about time by the way) click the RED shopping Web site logo and view our huge online catalog! There are more than 700 unbelievable items and I can only highlight a few for now. Are you still trying to get rid of that extra holiday um... stuff? Well then bid on the membership to Anytime Fitness. Have an Ice Time Party at the Saint Thomas Ice Arena – you can even pretend you weren’t cut from your high school team, no one will know! We have many amazing parties and weekend getaways, along with clothing, restaurants and so much more.
RAFFLES! RAFFLES! RAFFLES! This year the early response has been amazing. My e-mails have played a role I’m sure (but enough about me). Don’t let us take off without you. Hurry before all the tickets are gone and your dreams fade away. Visit the raffle page for more information.
Family Night, Friday, April 16, is free and open to the public. Please bring your family and friends; all are welcome to this fun night of food, games, silent auction bidding and Crack Drill Squad performance!
With all this excitement you still have time to volunteer. Volunteers for Auction Weekend are needed so please contact our office at 651.683.1590 or auction@cadets.com to donate some time or go online to the volunteer page.
Keep your eyes open around the school for our Community Auction posters that are arriving soon.
That’s it for now but, of course, I will be back in two weeks with more exciting instructions. One small business note – we too will now have to charge for blankets, $10 for postage stamp size and $20 to “sort of keep you warm.” Okay - your seat belt sign is now off; feel free to mingle throughout the Web site.

STA Community Auction – Around the World in 125 Years
Attention Auction Passengers!
This is Captain Scott (yes, I got a promotion!) with your second set of pre-boarding instructions for our Journey “Around the World” –
We have made it very easy for you to donate and share your favorite wine at this year’s Auction. Wine may be dropped off at Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 25, between 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. A table will be set up at the main entrance. A PDF document provides more details on this great event!
FEBRUARY 15, 2010! Please don’t let this date pass by without making your donation to this year’s Auction. Catalog production begins on the 16th and we want to acknowledge everyone’s gifts, so we need your completed donation form.
Speaking of donations, we are still in need of Cherry Tree items for Family Night. Please donate kid items such as: gift cards, games, video games, puzzles or anything that makes your children happy.
Have you ever dreamed of winning the big prize? The Burrows family had that same dream. Last year, in need of a new vehicle, they dared to have that dream and also support a great cause. Dreams do come true! Read their testimony of this life changing experience.
Dreams can’t come true if you don’t try. This week another raffle mailing is going out. Thank you to everyone who has already purchased their raffle tickets! To those who have not yet done so, act quickly because tickets are limited and going very fast. If you don’t buy a ticket soon your dream will just stay a dream and not become a reality.
On the subject of dreams and reality, we have some amazing Live and Almost Live Auction items this year! Vacation to Costa Rica for a week, then play golf in Scotland (you don’t have to all at once!) or even spend Homecoming on the field as part of the Chain Gang. Go to the online Auction section of our Community Auction Web site to see these and many more exciting opportunities.
You still have time to showcase your business by advertising with our Auction. Please visit the advertising section on the Community Auction Web site for more details and great options.
Finally (don’t worry, I will have more later!), your formal invitations (boarding passes) for the Auction will be mailed the week of February 22nd. Please watch your mail and sign up early to join us on this amazing Journey “Around the World.”
Once again you are now free to move about the cabin. Yes, I promise I will be back in two weeks with more notes to help make our journey smooth.
