Co-Curricular Athletics -
Highlights from the 2007-08 school year

The Soccer team finished the season with a 8-9-2 record.

The Cross Country team placed first in the conference and fifth in Section 3AA.

The Football team placed second in the conference and section and finished the
season with a 9-2 record.

The Alpine Ski team placed second in the section and qualified for the state tournament. The team finished eighth at the state meet.

The Nordic Ski team placed fourth in the section.

The Wrestling team placed fourth in the section and finished 6-2 for the section.

The Swimming and Diving team won the True Team and State Class A Championship.
During the regular season, the team won its 128nd meet in a row.

The Hockey team won the State Class A Championship.

The Basketball team placed second in the Class AAA state tournament.

Individual Accomplishments -

R. Hidalgo '10 and M. Mataczynski '08 represented STA at the state wrestling tournament.

B. Gerten '08 represented STA at the state Nordic ski tournament. Gerten was also the conference and section individual champion.

M. Hoyland '08 won the 100 breaststroke at the state swimming tournament with an All-American time of 57.42 during the finals and set a new state record during the prelims with a time of 56.3.

J. Masciopinto '09, T. Knoedler '09 and T. Grojean '11 qualified for individual meets at the Alpine Ski state tournament.
