Squad and Platoon Comp

Late last September and early last October, the JROTC department held Squad Comp. and Platoon Comp. In the end, Foxtrot Company came up winning both events. The awards were given out during Formation.

N. Gustafson (F-2-3) and S. Johnson (F-3-3) showed that they are capable and dedicated squad leaders when they tied for first place. Both Johnson and Gustafson were given merits and a ribbon for their efforts. When interviewed, Gustafson said, “I owe a lot to my guys. They really followed my instructions and put in the extra effort. I am so excited.”

Platoon Comp. was won by Foxtrot-2. G. Kleinschmidt is in charge of that platoon. After winning, Kleinschmidt said, “This was really a team effort. The squad leaders, especially Gustafson, knew what they were doing. Things just really clicked during the competition.” Kleinschmidt was also awarded merits and a ribbon for his exemplary work. The squad leaders in second platoon are Gustafson, Ronfeldt and Biernat.
