SGT Aaron McGowan ’04 presented Saint Thomas Academy with a flag he carried while
on a year-long tour in Iraq.

McGowan is currently assigned to B Company 134th Base Support Battalion, 34th Infantry Division, Minnesota Army National Guard. He returned from Iraq this summer and was awarded the Combat Action Badge, Army Accommodation Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal. He served as a vehicle gunner supporting convoys from Kuwait to Baghdad. He presented the school with an American Flag flown over Camp Adder, Iraq on 18 April 2007.
