Mountain Grove Rifle Challenge

The STA rifle team recently participated in the Mountain Grove Rifle Competition. The event included 130 teams, or 420 individual shooters. Out of all these marksmen, W. Sullivan '09 won gold in the standing position with a score of 90 out of 100. He also placed 1st overall in the Sporter Experienced Division.

In the Novice Division, which as comprised of 61 teams and 124 individuals, first year shooter N. Rizzo '11 placed third and won the bronze medal for the kneeling position. After the challenge, Chief Preblich commented that, “We have a really dedicated shooting team this year. All of these guys work hard at every practice and perform at the competitions. It has been a great year so far."
