9 April 2008 Brigade Formal Inspection
Congratulations to the Academy Corps of Cadets, especially the cadet colonel and the senior leadership! The corps retained the "Honor Unit with Distinction" status (the gold star) for another year. A score of 575, out of 600 possible points, is required to retain the gold star and the cadets received 590 points from the inspecting U.S. Army team.
"Not only did our inspection fall on the three-year rotation of the official Army inspection team from Fort Carson, Colorado, but we faced, for the first time, a new stricter set of standards that were recently implemented by the Army. In our debriefing, the inspectors told us that, with the new standards, no other school in the nation has achieved a higher score to date."
~ Cadet Colonel N. Schwartzbauer '08
"The inspection chief commented how every cadet displayed immense pride in his uniform and school. All in all, a superb performance by the Corps of Cadets during this year's BFI. WELL DONE, CADETS!"
~ Commandant of Cadets, LTC Michael DePuglio
