Parent Annual Support
Dear Parents,
Saint Thomas Academy is blessed with a longstanding tradition of community investment in the education of our young men, tomorrow’s community leaders. Each year money raised through the annual fund helps to attract and retain the best faculty and staff by keeping salaries and benefits competitive. It also helps to keep Saint Thomas Academy a viable option for as many students as possible by lowering overall tuition levels and providing tuition assistance.
Parents, alumni, trustees/friends/other each contribute to the annual fund. The 2009-10 annual fund goal is $1.3 million, with each of these three groups contributing about one third of that total goal. The Parent Annual Support goal of the annual fund is $435,000.
Parent Annual Support consists of three things: parent annual giving, auction underwriting, and proceeds from the community auction. Parent annual giving and auction underwriting are cash donations combined in one “gift.” The cash donation goal from the parent community for2009-10 is $270,000. The Community Auction proceeds goal is $165,000.
As evidenced by the table below, STA parents should be justifiably proud of the progress to date on Parent Annual Support, which only includes cash donations so far. In addition to the $270,000 “cash” goal, we also hope to achieve 100% participation. Your response is greatly appreciated.

STA also asks for your help with the Community Auction by volunteering your time with one of the many committees, donating auction items, purchasing raffle tickets, and attending this year’s family night and gala -- Around the World in 125 Years – on Friday and Saturday, April 16/17, 2010.
