Middle School 3-on-3 Hockey Tournament
March 10, 2009
The Middle School 3-on-3 tournament is a way for current STA students to be introduced to future teammates. Participants then represent their "country" (Canada, Sweden, Russia, and the U.S.A.) and vie for the right to sign the trophy which is held in perpetuity in the STA Middle School. The tournament is open to all levels of Middle School students and follows a no-check rule. With players representing such a broad array of communities, this is their chance to begin to imagine what a combination of their talents might look like. Special thanks goes out to Mr. Jeff Smith for photography and running the clock, as well as, the Saint Thomas Ice Arena and staff for providing an excellent environment for the kids.
~ Howe Siegel, Counselor, grades 7-9
Russia beat the U.S.A. in the final, 4-1
