LAST DAY FOR 2010-11 COURSE VERIFICATION
Dear Parents/Guardian(s):
Before creating the master schedule, it is our custom to have parents verify their son’s course selections for the upcoming school year. We use PowerSchool to complete the verification process. Instructions to access your son’s course requests are included below:
1) Log in to PowerSchool, (powerschool.cadets.com)
2) Click on the “Class Registration” icon
3) Click on the link “View Future Course Requests” – IMPORTANT, FINAL STEP
Please review these course requests carefully with your son, keeping in mind the Saint Thomas Academy graduation requirements (listed online). Please note that the physical education requirement is waived for sophomores in band, orchestra or choir.
Because our master schedule is based on student course requests, it is imperative that you notify us of any corrections to your son’s course requests no later than April 30th. If you need to discuss a class change, please contact Dr. Celeste Heidelberger by e-mail at cheidelberger@cadets.com or at (651) 683-1522. Changes after April 30 will result in a $50 fee and may also cause scheduling conflicts. If your son’s teachers change his placement for next year based on his performance in second semester, you will be notified. We will not mail schedules for the 2010-11 school year. Your son’s schedule for next year can be picked up at the STA Round-Up on August 5 or 11.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us, or if you have questions about accessing PowerSchool, please contact Ms. Carole Loufek by e-mail at cloufek@cadets.com or (651) 683-1568.

Research points to parental involvement as being the single most important factor in an adolescent’s relationship to alcohol and other drugs.
