2018 Senior Graduation Party
The Coordinating Committee has begun the initial planning for the Senior Party and we are all very excited about the creation of a fun and safe evening for the graduates! Below is a brief outline and description of the event. More specific details will follow in the coming months but at this time there are some important ways you can contribute as described in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below.
On behalf of the entire Coordinating Committee, thank you for your help in making the Class of 2018 Senior Party a wonderful success and an event our sons will remember for years to come. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Mike or Julie Gerend, Class of 2018 Senior Party Chairs or other members of the committee. Julie Gerend (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mike Gerend (email@example.com)
What is the Senior Party?
The Senior Party is a safe, late night lock-in at Saint Thomas Academy following graduation (9:30 P.M. to 2:30 A.M.) where senior parents with the help of some junior parents, host the party.
How are the costs of the Senior Party covered?
Cost of the party is covered in part by the senior fee that was already collected. This fee alone does not cover the full cost of the party. Parents help sponsor the party through additional cash and merchandise donations. Cash gifts and gift cards to favorite retailers and restaurants are especially needed. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Main Office.
What types of activities are included?
The evening begins with dinner. After dinner, there are many activities for the graduates to choose from. Traditionally these have included a casino, a variety of games in the gym such as air hockey, basketball and trench ball. There will be entertainment, raffles and time for the boys to simply hang out and reminisce on their years at STA.
What is expected of parents?
The party is fully planned, hosted and funded by the senior parents. We appreciate your help to make your son's senior party a success by volunteering to work a shift the night of the party and/or sponsoring the event with a donation. The committee will keep senior parents informed through email as well as this page.
What other things can I do to help?
Stay tuned for a request of video or photos in the coming months. They must be from a school sponsored event, i.e. sports, dances, plays and performances, etc. for the creation of a class video. If you would like to help serve on the committee please contact the Senior Party Chairs.
