Welcome to College Counseling

The mission of our department is to facilitate the college search and application process for our students. The process begins in ninth and tenth grade, which will intensify in 11th, and 12th grades. It is our goal to provide each student and his parents with the information, advice, and support needed to make good choices about where to apply and enroll for college.

Our students are prepared to enter a myriad of colleges and universities across the country. The college search process is about finding the ‘right fit’ for each individual student. The Class of 2016 submitted 794 applications to 184 different colleges and universities, matriculating to 55 different schools across a broad range of selectivity and geography. These include the following highly selective institutions: Boston College, Duke University, Harvard University, Texas Christian University, Rice University, University of Notre Dame, Colby College, Chapman College, U.S. Naval Academy, and West Point. Each year, approximately 85% of the graduating seniors receive at least one merit-based college scholarship.
