Dual Enrollment at Saint Thomas Academy is an advanced academic opportunity that allows students to earn official college credit while still in high school—without ever leaving campus. Through STA’s partnerships with Saint Mary’s University PACC Program and Saint Louis University 1818 Advanced College Credit Program, students take rigorous, college-level courses taught by STA faculty, earning college credits that can be transferred to colleges and universities across the country.
Dual Enrollment is designed to complement STA’s already robust college preparatory curriculum by giving students a head start on their college journey while maintaining the personalized, values-based education STA is known for.
Courses and Credit Options
STA currently offers more than 20 dual enrollment sections across multiple disciplines, including:
- English and Literature
- Science
- Theology
- Social Studies
Students can earn up to 36 credit hours before graduation—with more opportunities on the horizon.
Value for Families
Dual Enrollment at STA is more than an academic benefit, it’s a financial one too.
- $75–$100 per credit hour vs. $1,200 average nationally
- Up to 96 college credits possible when combined with STA’s AP program

When to Enroll?
Students may begin Dual Enrollment as early as their junior year. Some courses are available to sophomores based on eligibility. Students should work with college counselors during course registration to determine which offerings are the best fit.
How to Get Started
To participate in Dual Enrollment, students must:
- Register for an approved course during the school year
- Meet GPA and eligibility requirements set by the partner university
- Complete a brief registration process (we’ll help guide you through it!)
