For the 2022-23 school year, we have 622 students in grades 6-12.

The student to faculty ratio is 9:1.

Saint Thomas Academy offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses in Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Computer Science, Economics, English, Environmental Science, Government, Spanish, Statistics, U.S. History, and World History. AP Chinese is offered in conjunction with One Schoolhouse. 

Qualified students may enroll in university level courses offered through College in the Schools (CIS), through the University of Minnesota, or the Program for Advanced College Credit (PACC), through Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

The school is located at 949 Mendota Heights Road in Mendota Heights, MN.

While transportation to school is primarily the responsibility of the family and student, the school subsidizes some of the cost of operating bus routes. Some routes have morning, after-school, and activity service, while others have only morning and activity service.

The colleges and universities most often selected by Saint Thomas Academy students include Boston University, Creighton University, Iowa State University, Saint John's University, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri, University of Notre Dame, University of St. Thomas and the University of Wisconsin. The Saint Thomas Academy network is very strong. Upon graduation, a cadet moves on from a school of 600+ and enters an alumni network of 7,000+. The alumni association provides numerous opportunities for graduates to succeed in college and afterward. We have a LinkedIn network, Facebook pages, a formal internship program, and many other ways to support our alumni.

Yes. We share a number of classes and activities with Visitation School, including world languages, band, theater, and dances.

Saint Thomas Academy offers a structured and disciplined environment for young men. We do not accept students with severe discipline problems (especially those discipline problems involving drugs or the law).

The odds are strongly against it. Typically, only a couple of our graduates go directly into the military.

A few others move on to military academies or into an ROTC program. Saint Thomas Academy's military program is designed to instill leadership, not to groom future soldiers.
