The student to faculty ratio is 9:1.

How many AP courses are offered at Saint Thomas Academy?

We currently offer 13 Advanced Placement courses at Saint Thomas Academy: Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chinese (offered at Visitation), Computer Science, Macro & Micro Economics, English Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, Comparative Government & Politics, U.S. Government & Politics, Spanish (offered at Visitation), Statistics (offered at Visitation), United States History and World History.

How do Saint Thomas Academy students get to school?

While transportation to school is primarily the responsibility of the family and student, the school subsidizes some of the cost of operating bus routes. Some routes have morning, after-school, and activity service, while others have only morning and activity service.

How will Saint Thomas Academy help me after I graduate?

The Saint Thomas Academy network is very strong. Upon graduation, a cadet moves on from a school of 600+ and enters an alumni network of 7,000+. The alumni association provides numerous opportunities for graduates to succeed in college and afterward. We have a LinkedIn network, Facebook pages, a formal internship program, and many other ways to support our alumni.

Will I see any girls?

Yes. We share a number of classes and activities with Visitation School, including world languages, band, theater, and dances.

Is Saint Thomas Academy for students with discipline problems?

Saint Thomas Academy offers a structured and disciplined environment for young men. We do not accept students with severe discipline problems (especially those discipline problems involving drugs or the law).

Will my son end up in the military?

The odds are strongly against it. Typically, only a couple of our graduates go directly into the military.

A few others move on to military academies or into an ROTC program. Saint Thomas Academy's military program is designed to instill leadership, not to groom future soldiers.
