Coach John Barnes at Saint Thomas Academy believes swimming transforms boys into competitive teammates who push their limits. His program fosters a unified "family" dedicated to achieving a championship mindset and grit, alongside life lessons. The philosophy prioritizes "Family - School - Swimming," aiming to help every swimmer reach their full potential through hard, smart work. They focus on team building, learning from failure, and embracing the sacrifices needed for success.

Cadets Basketball

Coach Jacob Sand, the Head Basketball Coach for the Saint Thomas Academy Cadets, has received significant recognition for his coaching. 

2024-25 Section Coach of the Year

Coach Sand led the Cadets to the Class 3A Section title game this year, losing in the last seconds to St. Paul Harding. He was named head coach in 2023, having previously served two years as the assistant coach.
