Charitable Gambling

Gambling Manager’s Primary Duties:

1) STAAA:

•Report results monthly at the STAAA meetings in the form of a written report that will be submitted to the Secretary of the STAAA

•Ensure monthly & annual tax returns are filed with Minnesota Revenue in a timely manner

2) Minnesota Gambling Control Board

•Attend annual continuing education classes to maintain the gambling manager’s license in good standing

•Comply with all inquiries and reviews of the Gambling Control Board

3) Employee Management

•Hire, schedule and train staff

• Ensure payroll is completed 2x per month (in conjunction w/ consultants)

4) Partnership Management

•Ensure the monthly rent is paid in a timely manner

•Ensure and maintain quality working relationship with Partner Sites

5) Operational Duties

•Oversee general operations of the pull-tab booths and machines including inventory and vendor management

•Maintain Quickbooks account to ensure accurate tracking of cash flows from operations.

•Daily remote management of pull-tab games to ensure profitability for the organization

•Responsible for budgeting and generating profits aligned with established goals

6) Other duties as assigned by the STAAA.

 

Machine Site Manager Responsibilities:

1)    Site of Operations

-       Responsible for operations and profitability of a single site with a machine

-       Reports to Gambling Manager

-       Monitor game play and maintain cash bank at appropriate levels as needed.

-       Maintain positive relationships with site management and employees.

-       Monitor E-Tabs play and banks if applicable and back up E-Tabs Manager if/when the position is created.

2)    Back office

-       Bring closed game to office and prepare for second-party audit

-       Assist other Managers with second-party audits.

 Cover other machine sites and back-office work as needed
