Choral
The Choral curriculum at Saint Thomas Academy teaches lifelong skills in active music making, creates discriminating music listeners, and provides performance opportunities in an environment that strives for artistic excellence.
The Choral program is open to any student grades 9 - 12 who is interested in singing and wants to be part of a musical ensemble that builds on trust and teamwork. During the course students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the richness of other cultures, and the connections music brings to people. The focus of the choir is to enhance the musical, creative and expressive qualities of every student through rehearsals, performance and collaborations. Students have opportunities for leadership and personal growth in an environment that strives for creative artistic excellence.

B.A. in Music Education fromMinnesota Southwest State University
Julia Fahey joined the Saint Thomas Academy community in 1992 and currently works as the STA Choir Director and Middle School Music Teacher - Intro to Music and School of Rock. Ms. Fahey also directs the Upper and Middle School Piano Classes at all levels“. I LOVE the spirit of my choir students! I always tell them on the first day of class, they are going to sing songs, but mostly, and probably more importantly, learn a lot about themselves and life in my class! Young men need a place to express their feelings, and music helps them find their voice!” Julia is always looking to expand her choir, so it makes sense that on her bucket list is to have forty new Cadets join the choir group! Julia is the founder & artistic director of the Partners in Praise Choir, celebrating 32 Seasons of performances, Nationally and Internationally. She also directs the Youth Choir at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. - Twin Cities Minneapolis.
