The Cadets have a proud tradition of excellence in winter athletics. The teams have won multiple swimming, hockey, alpine ski, and basketball state championships. The Rifle Team has won a number of national and state titles. Details about each of our seven programs are available by clicking the links below or to the left.
If your son will be participating in a winter sport, please know that all his paperwork must be on file and he must have taken a pre-season concussion test before he can practice.
If a student did not take concussion testing this summer, and plans to participate in winter athletics, he needs to take the test on October 29, between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons Lab. No need to sign up - first come, first served. Contact trainer Melissa Haupt at email@example.com with questions.
The Minnesota State High School League’s policy regarding physicals for athletic participation reads:
"Any student who intends to participate in high school interscholastic athletics must have on file in the school a record of a physical examination performed by a physician within the previous three years. A Health Questionnaire shall be completed annually and could indicate the need for a physical examination prior to participation. The signature of the parent or guardian approving participation is required.”
We strongly recommend that any student who plans to participate in athletics have a physical each year, even though the State High School League only requires one every three years.
ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS.
If you would like to check the status of your son’s physical please contact our school nurse, Lucy Poole at 651-683-1545.
