Why Saint Thomas Academy? Coaching Saint Thomas Academy's Alpine Ski Team allows me to provide a unique opportunity to instill discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of brotherhood in young men who are poised to become leaders. Skiing is a sport that demands precision, mental toughness, and teamwork, all qualities that align with the values of both the academy and the broader military ethos. By coaching this team, I help these students develop not only their athletic skills but also their character, teaching them how to push through adversity, embrace challenges, and strive for excellence both on the hill and in life. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey toward becoming well-rounded, principled leaders who embody the values of faith, duty, and service.
A fun fact about yourself: In my spare time, I enjoy fly fishing for brown trout, steelhead and salmon. Skiing, fly fishing and coaching have always been my true passions.
Family: I’m also blessed to have a truly incredible daughter, Emmalin, who excels in both softball and volleyball. Our small family is rounded out by Ollie, my lively German Shorthair Pointer, who keeps us company both on the couch and in the field.
Purpose Statement: My goal is to focus first on the student athletes I'm entrusted with, to grow and develop them as young men and leaders instead of just improving them as athletes. My program embraces the morals, values and ethics to inspire and motivate our student athletes to positively change their lives and the lives of those around them; both on and off the race venue. The success of my athletes can be measured by the experiences, interactions, memories and the overall time spent with their team, that they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
I aim to leave a positive imprint that will forever be a part of each person's life that I've had the privilege of coaching.

Years of Experience: 4 years
High School attended: Canton High School, CT
College and Major: Northeastern University, Chemical Engineering
Why Saint Thomas Academy? I was first impressed and appreciative of the experiences my wife and brothers-in-law had within the Visitation & STA community, and over many years coaching have now learned firsthand how supportive, respectful, and driven our student-athletes truly are (and wouldn't have it any other way!)
A fun fact about yourself: My other job is designing, building and testing hydrogen fuel cells for implementation in all sorts of vehicles.
Family: Wife Annie (a Vis grad) and a Goldendoodle named Ruggles
Rosga Bio
Years of Experience: 24 years
High School attended: Cretin-Derham Hall
College and Major: University of Colorado, Boulder - Communication Major
Why Saint Thomas Academy? Over the years I had trained over 300 Cadets and was always impressed with the way they carried themselves and how they talked about their school and the 'Brotherhood'.
The opportunity to bring my background in athletics and fitness to these young men and be a part of that Brotherhood was a perfect fit for me and my family.
A fun fact about yourself: Along with being an All-State athlete in 3 sports, I was a first chair trumpet player in high school.
Family: My wife Brianna, she graduated from Kansas where she played soccer for the Jayhawks. My daughters are Cianna and Louis and my son Vincent
Purpose Statement: Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up knowing it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
