2026 MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON INFORMATION
The Fall Football Season runs from Wednesday, August 19th through Tuesday, October 14. Middle School football is for 7th and 8th grade football players. Sixth grade football players attending STA are encouraged to remain with their local youth football community. We also have an after school team managing opportunities for those interested in helping our football program.
Equipment Handout will be from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18 in the Equipment Room. The boys will also get together to run a few gamified drills on August 18, so bring cleats. The Equipment room is in the basement of Flynn Hall down by the weight room.
What do I need to play football?
Cleats: Game cleats must be white or black. Our preference being that whichever shoe color you pick is majority white or majority black. Please stay away from colors that aren’t part of our uniform or school colors (ie. anything not white, gray, black or one of our blues).
Socks: Our sock color is white for games.
Sleeves/Tights: All sleeves and tights should be white for games.
Gloves: Stay within our team / school colors (Gray, White, Black or Blues)
Mouthguards: Please purchase a mouthguard for summer and fall camp (mold as needed)
*All other equipment such as pads, helmets, girdles, belts with game and practice jerseys will be provided and equipment handout.
Weekly Practice Schedule:
We will practice Monday through Friday each week.
Practices will be from 3:30- 5:30 p.m on non-game nights Monday - Friday. We will ask our Middle School Football players to stay and lift after practice for 30 minutes twice a week with our Strength Coach Steve Rosga, but they will still be done at 5:30 p.m. Our coaches will communicate all other weekly changes through our final forms platform. For those who need to catch an activity bus after school it’s understood that you may need to miss occasional lifting times. Friday practices are often based on the Head Coach preference and will be communicated by the staff. Coaches may elect to have the boys practice, watch film or give them off.
Game nights will move nights on given weeks based on field availability and the varsity game week schedule. All transportation to and from games is handled by the parents / families or rideshares.
- The middle school football coaches will update our team calendar on our STA Website via this progression of links.
