Uniform Policy and Appearance
Because the uniform distinguishes Saint Thomas Academy cadets, it’s important that cadets wear the uniform correctly and completely, on and off campus, at all times. We expect all cadets to maintain a high standard of dress and appearance with clean, fitted and serviceable uniforms. Uniform guidelines are enforced by the Academy’s faculty, staff, and senior cadet leaders.
Regular Quartermaster Hours when school is in session:
Monday through Thursday—3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
New Uniform Sale
Wednesday, August 8, 12:00-6:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 9, 8:00-3:00 p.m.
Saint Thomas Academy - Holtz Gym
*For planning purposes please allow yourself 2 hours during the new uniform sale (this include wait times, shopping, fittings, checkout etc.)
- It is critical for the cadet to attend the sale to ensure proper fit of pants, shirts, shoes, etc. For parents who cannot attend during the published sale dates - uniforms will be available for purchase, each day after school (3:00-3:30 p.m.) during the first week of school.
- Please note that Saint Thomas Academy changed the style of the blue uniform shirt, beginning for the Class of 2021, and this item will only be available for purchase from the Quartermaster. Upperclassmen may still purchase the old style blue shirt at the Quartermaster.
- Parents/students who cannot make one of the new uniform sale dates - don't worry. The Quartermaster Store will be open after school the first week of school to fit uniforms / buy items, etc. If your son does not have a complete uniform the first day of school he should wear slacks, a button or polo shirt, and nice shoes - he will not be the only one out of uniform.

Garment Bag Information:
On formal uniform days your son will be required to bring his blouse coat to school. When he is not wearing it, the blouse coat can be stored in his locker. To keep the blouse coat clean and to protect it from being caught in locker doors, a garment bag is recommended.
The STA Mothers’ Club makes available a lightweight but sturdy garment bag with handles on the top and outside zipper pocket to hold additional items such as the gloves and uniform hat. The majority of boys order the garment bag, but is not required by Saint Thomas Academy that you purchase one.
If you would like to order a garment bag from the Mothers’ Club, complete your purchase through the link below.

While there is no "official" supply list for grades 9-12, here is an idea of what you will need for the first day of school. Each individual teacher will tell you what is needed for his/her class during the first week of school.
