AUDITIONS – Thursday, December 14th

3:15 – 5:30 p.m. – Visitation School – Choir Room

We are looking for many actors and actresses to participate in the show! We want everyone to experience the positive teamwork and thrill of participating in this exciting musical!

Welcome to Agrabah, an Arabian city of mystery and enchantment.  Agrabah is the central location of the popular Disney animated film and hit Broadway musical, ALADDIN.

The city is known for its Grand Palace and bustling marketplace. It is also known for its adventure, intrigue - and the magic carpet!

“When street - urchin Aladdin frees a genie from a lamp, he finds his wishes granted. However, he soon finds that the evil Jafar, has other plans for the lamp, and for Princess Jasmine. Can Aladdin save Princess Jasmine and his love for her after she sees that he isn't quite what he appears to be?”

Director, Stephen Houtz would like everyone to prepare a 16-bar song for the audition. Even if it’s just singing happy birthday or jingle bells. No pressure at all.  For those of you who are wanting a lead part, I would prepare a song.  The audition process also involves reading a scene from the script.

Please bring an up-dated picture of yourself and know your conflicts during the month of January and February.

PERFORMANCE DATES – February 22nd, 23rd and the 24th, 2018. 7:00 p.m. Tickets can only be sold at the door.

WORKSHOP WITH THE DIRECTOR – Friday, November 17th

On Friday, Stephen is coming to all my music classes to talk about the audition process for ALADDIN JR. - specifically how one should prepare for it. If there is time, we might even do some IMPROV games. Professional theater tips, and a lot of fun!

REHEASALS:  Monday – Friday 3:15 – 5:00 pm. We do not rehearse on the weekends.
