Since 1885, Saint Thomas Academy has prepared young men in grades 6–12 to lead lives of purpose, faith, and excellence. Our 88-acre campus in Mendota Heights is home to a community of dedicated educators, coaches, and mentors who shape Cadets through academic rigor, meaningful service, and a distinctive all-male environment rooted in brotherhood.

Our all-male, Catholic military environment means faculty connect with students in ways rarely possible elsewhere — in the classroom, on the field, in the weight room, and in service projects across the community. Boys at STA are eager, engaged, and respond strongly to adults who invest in their growth.
Our sole focus on young men allows faculty to tailor instruction to boys' unique learning styles and motivations. The tight-knit campus community, with a 10:1 student-faculty ratio and average class sizes of 15, means every educator truly knows every student. When faculty and Cadets share that trust, remarkable things happen.
