Kim Friede began working at Saint Thomas Academy in 2006 immediately following her retirement from active duty where she served for over 24 years. Chief Friede’s many roles include serving as a retirement specialist, a facility manager, and as a Branch Chief for the Minnesota National Guard state headquarters Human Resource Office. While on active duty, she competed with the MN National Guard marathon team. She has coached distance runners here at STA since 2013 and continues to run with the team each week.
“I initially came to Saint Thomas Academy as a parent impressed with the school and selected it for my son's education. I still firmly believe in the impact of supporting our mission and the power of sharing your passions through your work. I genuinely look forward to coming to school each day. I am honored to be a part of this extraordinary community and immensely proud of my responsibilities as a mentor of young men. I simply cannot imagine a more rewarding experience.”
Her bucket list includes continuing to run Rugged Maniac & Ragnar with STA friends and family, camping (or most anything) with her grandchildren, and a long & healthy retirement shared with her family and friends.
