Dr. Alexis Howe

Spanish Teacher

Doctor of Philosophy in Hispanic Literatures and a minor in Human Rights from the University of Minnesota
M.A. in Hispanic Literatures from the University of Minnesota
B.A in Spanish from St. Cloud State University

Dr. Alexis Howe absolutely loves teaching - not only does she get to walk alongside the students and guide them as they learn new and exciting things about language and culture, but her students teach her many new things each year.

When asked what is on her bucket list for travel, she replied, "My grandparents are Norwegian so two of my bucket list items are to learn their language and then travel to Norway to explore and meet relatives. A few of my most wanted sites to visit in Norway include the cities of Trondheim and Tromsø and the western fjords such as the Geirangerfjord."

A fun fact for Dr. Howe, "I lived in Viña del Mar, Chile for 6 months while I directed a study abroad program through St. John's University / the College of St. Benedict. I was able to witness each of my students being changed by the experience and I was changed myself. I think we all look back on that period as one of the best in our lives."
